We are extremely proud that TRNSMT Festival has been awarded Gold Status from Attitude is Everything, making it the first music festival in Scotland to be awarded with this accolade. 

Attitude is Everything rewards innovation, creativity and imagination in approaches to breaking down barriers for deaf and disabled people at live music and outdoor events. 

After a successful inaugural year in 2017, TRNSMT has continuously improved its accessible facilities at the festival year on year including the introductions of a designated Access Manager for all accessible customers, who works hard to establish strong relationships from the outset and throughout. 

Improvements to TRNSMT’s Accessible Information Guide make it more user friendly for customers with visual impairments including Colour Blind friendly schemes, audio versions of the accessible information available on the event website, plus an easy read guide which was developed alongside Gig Buddies have contributed to the award. 

Having the largest Accessible Viewing Platform of any event in Scotland allows festival go-ers with additional access requirements the space to enjoy the 3-day event away from the large crowds, and space for a personal assistant/companion to attend the festival for free. The Customer Access team also facilitated food, drink and merchandise service on the Accessible Viewing Platform. A hearing loop was introduced at all box offices, increased lowered counters and staff were trained in visual and hearing impairments, disability equality and customer care, and mental health first aid to better the service provided to accessible customers. 

Through continued work, training, and gaining invaluable feedback from our fans, we strive to ensure that we are providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all abilities at our live events.
