Integral to Scotland’s Grassroots Music...

Brooke Combe

We own and operate ‘quite possibly the finest small venue in the world’, King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut which is an integral part of Scotland’s grassroots music scene. The venue which opened in 1990 has been bringing the most exciting new talent to Scotland as well as welcoming established acts back who have gone on to big things after playing some of their first shows here. Alumni include Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Sia, Coldplay, Florence and the Machine, Muse, Oasis and more.

Providing a welcome space for all everyone...

Accessibility Platform

We have taken several important steps such as training employees on disability equality and customer service, non-visible disabilities, sensory awareness, and mental health first aid.  We have collaborated with organisations such as Attitude is Everything, Gig Buddies and sensory impairment charities for training and consultancy, all of whom have provided invaluable insights into the planning of our events. We take huge pride in TRNSMT Festival achieving Gold Status from Attitude is Everything – the first music festival to achieve this award in Scotland.

Through continued work, training, and gaining invaluable feedback from our fans, we strive to ensure that we are providing a safe, inclusive and welcoming space at our live events.

Responsible global citizens...

Sustainability

Sustainability is a core value at DF Concerts & Events, and we work to reduce the environmental impact of our events, venues and festivals to ensure we are being responsible global citizens.

To ensure long-term sustainability, we consider and implement science-based targets and strategies at all our events to mitigate these impacts. We have identified 9 key areas to guide our long-term priority goals - emissions and energy, resource use and waste (including plastic), water, food, public engagement, procurement, transport, biodiversity, and local impacts. We also prioritise social sustainability, engaging with local communities and creating opportunities for diverse voices and perspectives to be heard. This includes supporting local businesses, promoting inclusivity and accessibility at our events. By prioritising sustainability, we are creating positive social and environmental outcomes to preserve the future of our industry.

Supporting the communities we operate in...

Supporting the communities

At DF Concerts & Events, we know that building strong relationships with the local communities we operate in is essential. That's why we're all about engaging with these communities in a way that's inclusive, sustainable, and empowering.
Our dedicated Local Resident Liaisons work hard to keep those relationships going, and it's resulted in some awesome, long-lasting connections between us and the locals. We truly believe that working together is the key to achieving positive outcomes for everyone involved and continue to do our bit to ensure as little impact on neighbouring areas as possible whilst supporting them to help the communities thrive.
